Kadeem Jackson's love of photography comes from wanting to savor candid moments he finds special. Raw and honest situations or subjects are a recurring theme in Jackson's work. To capture a moment as closely to its original state as possible, he relies on experimental techniques such as overexposure and low shutter speed to naturally intensify his images. In more controlled settings, his lighting design is what brings out emotion. Jackson finds beauty within the imperfections of an experimental process that allows him to depict life in its purest form. His preferred mediums include the Hasselblad X1D II, Mamiya RZ Pro IID, Canon AE-1 Program, Sony DSC-TX10, and Canon Sure Shot 150u while Kadeem's thematic focus encompasses realms such as sensuality, romance, vibrancy, urban life, and experimental narratives.
